What to look for in a travel insurance company
Travel Insurance can be very competitive, but don't always go for the cheapest as its' rarely the best! Compare the options, excess, luggage cover (as I have lost luggage on numerous occasions!), and medical cover.
Make sure it's easy to be able to contact the travel insurance company in cases of emergency - do they have a 24 hour helpline as you could be the other side of the world in a different timezone when things go wrong.
Cancellation cover
Make sure there is cover in case your holiday is cancelled or you cannot go on holiday for some reason. This is very useful should the unthinkable happen and can save you a lot of money for the sake of making sure it's part of your premium.
