Taxi Insurance

Thursday, April 30th, 2009

If you happen to drive a taxi for a living and have to come up with your own insurance premium every year then you are probably looking for the cheapest possible option available to you. Bearing in mind that any insurance you have to shell out for would eat into your income, it is no wonder really. However, if you are looking for taxi insurance and your current policy is coming up for renewal then you might be interested to know that you can save hundreds of pounds every year by comparing all policies out there on one of the many. If you do not think that you have the time then just do what I did and think about the money you can save by taking five minutes to have a look around.

When my taxi insurance came up for renewal this year, I found it had increased by 25%, give or take. Considering the fact that I had not had an accident or received points on my license, I was a little unhappy to say the very least! That kind of increase is neither in my budget or affordable for me so I went onto Money Supermarket and then Confused to find a variety of quotes before heading to a few specialists that are not on those sites. The latter only do taxi insurance or specialist care insurances and seem to be much more in tune with the requirements of taxi drivers everywhere.

The search I mention above for comprehensive but good value taxi insurance took me fifteen minutes and I managed to save £201 on my renewal quote. I got a discount, my no claims bonus was taken into account and so I came away a happy driver. Those fifteen minutes are most definitely worth it. After all, how quickly can you make £201? It would take you a lot longer to earn it than it does to save it.

Confused.com Car Insurance

Tuesday, April 28th, 2009

Ask anyone on any British high street to name two car insurance comparison facilities and I guarantee that one of them will be Confused car insurance, or Confused.com as it seems to be more commonly known. It is a popular choice, largely because those that have used the facility before wax lyrical about it but more so now because it can save all sorts of drivers hundreds of pounds per year on their car insurance premiums. With a wide choice of providers available to you, you could do worse than to go get a range of quotes at Confused car insurance.

Of course, that is definitely one of the major advantages that are associated with Confused car insurance – the fact that you can get tens of quotes all in the one place. They are displayed on the one screen too for ease of comparison. As such, all you have to do is input what you want and need from a car insurance policy and then check the different results returned against each other. The Confused car insurance site actually offers a grid type layout just to make it completely idiot proof! Look for the ticks and the one with the most is the best policy for your needs!

Plenty of my friends used Confused car insurance to find their new policies when their previous car insurance products came up for renewal. It saved one friend £60 and another £173. Any saving is better than nothing but can you really afford to pass up this kind of saving? When it costs so much to run a car as it is without paying over the odds for your legally required insurance policy, why settle for anything less than the best price for the best car insurance for you?

Moneysupermarket.com

What would you expect to see when you arrive on a comparison site homepage? More specifically, what would you expect to see when you arrive on a car insurance comparison homepage? Some people expect to see really simple forms for you to fill in, some expect to see a colourful introduction that welcomes visitors with open arms, but what if I said you could find both at Moneysupermarket.com? Believe me, the site does provide a few frills but behind those are some excellent facilities that few other car insurance comparison sites offer.

Moneysupermarket.com has a vast range of features available to you. Firstly, I was surprised to find that it offers quotes from far more providers than I thought. All of the major ones are on there and offer quotes through Moneysupermarket.com with the exception of one or two providers. One of those missing I absolutely know is more expensive than most because they used to provide my car insurance. I recently switched and saved £227 per annum for virtually the same policy!

I was also surprised to find that Moneysupermarket.com also offers quotes on a whole range of products and services and not just car insurance. I thought that it only offered car insurance for some reason but you could also obtain a range of quotes for al other major forms of insurance like home and travel. There are also loan, mortgage and credit card quotes in addition to household services like broadband. I had no idea that you could get this much value out of a free comparison site. In effect, Moneysupermarket.com offers the complete service. It does have one major fault though – it offers so much choice that you have absolutely no idea where to look first!

Moneysupermarket.com

How do you choose the comparison site you should use to get quotes when your car insurance comes up for renewal? There are so many of them that it really can be a pain choosing between them… and then choosing your policy as well. It is enough to give anyone a headache. Well, I can save you some time and effort here because I would wholeheartedly recommend only one car insurance comparison site - Moneysupermarket.com. I checked out several and have to say that I personally do not think that any of the others compare to Moneysupermarket.com. Why? Well, where do you want me to start?

Moneysupermarket.com has one of the best ranges of car insurance providers on the Internet. Few of its rivals can touch it for choice as a result. You can look into various types of car insurance policy at Moneysupermarket.com and compare them all as and when you like. There is also a facility to save your returned quotes so you can go back to it when you have enough time to take a look through your options properly. This is fantastic for those of you that have a busy household, just like mine. This facility definitely saves you the time and effort of filling in your information again and again when you happen to be disturbed.

The layout of the comparison mechanism on Moneysupermarket.com is also very easy to use. All you have to do is input the information required for you to get the best possible quotes and then sit back and wait a few seconds for your results to be returned. You only have to input your details once and, whilst some are absolutely necessary for your quote, some are discretionary. For example, you only have to detail named drivers if you choose them. As such, you feel safe in the knowledge that you are only giving them exactly what is necessary. With such peace of mind, I would only ever choose Moneysupermarket.com in the future.

Choosing the Cheapest Car Insurance

Saturday, April 18th, 2009

Choosing the cheapest car insurance has not always proved to be a hit with some drivers in the past. In fact, it has sometimes turned out to be a complete disaster, but the reasons behind it actually have nothing to do with the provider the vast majority of the time. Individual drivers may have placed a claim only to have it rejected because their insurance did not cover them. Why? Because the driver in question selected the cheapest car insurance without actually looking at what the policy covered him or her for. As such, there is a vital lesson to learn here and that is simply that the m0ost cost effective car insurance can work providing that you do your homework!

The key to obtaining the cheapest car insurance is not only centred on the level of premiums that you pay but also around the quality of the policy. It is all about getting the most for your money because you never know what the future has in store. If you choose a policy that is incredibly cheap just to remain legal on the road then you might find yourself in trouble if you do have an accident and cannot afford to get your car repaired. As such, you have to assess your own wants and needs in line with what the cheapest car insurance is offering you.

Finding the cheapest car insurance can definitely be a godsend for any individual looking for more affordable insurance providing that it still ticks all the boxes. If it does not do so then you are taking numerous risks. Always read the policy before the price and make sure that you are happy with both. If you do not then you may well regret your decision when it is a little too late.

You would have had to have been on the moon to miss the recent spate of Confused car insurance adverts that have been on TV. You know the ones – loads of people talking about the new look of the site and how good the value it offers actually is now. One woman even ends up comparing her new policy to her old policy in shoes of all things! The point is that the advert relates directly as to how you and I would relate to the Confused car insurance website, nut just how good is it since its overhaul?

Well, to start with, the Confused car insurance is now really well laid out. It was easy enough and logical enough to use before but now it is even better. It saved me £168 per year so I would definitely recommend it!
