Who really does give you the cheapest insurance? Moneysupermarket.com?, confused.com? or the AA?
In fact who knows as it is anyones guess. The larger insurance companies or comparison sites spend so much on advertising which in turn must mean there is a large profit margin in their car insurance premiums for them to be able to sustain such mammoth campaigns!
Take moneysupermarket.com. They have been pretty much constantly bombarding the telly box for a few years now at peak times targetting the younger generation by following the super cool Matrix-style adverts. Remember that it’s not actually moneysupermarket.com that’s supplying you with the policy as they are a price comparison site. They only get paid when you take out a policy with one of the car insurance companies on their panel – who knows how much but it just goes to show that it must be a nice little chunk of your premium which makes me think “How much should you really be paying?”.
The long and short of it is that just keep on shopping around, even your local broker should be able to cut you a good deal so try not to rely on the internet every time when looking for a car insurance quote as remember – if you have found the company to quote you online then you can guarantee they paid a lot of money to be found by you!
