Looking for cheap car insurance these days is like searching for gold – you can look and look and look and still never find what you want. Well, it would have been if some clever person hadn’t created search comparison engines, or whatever they’re called. The renewal notice arrived a couple of days ago and the premiums had gone up, as they do every year, but this year we couldn’t afford it. We did find it. We found a cheap car insurance policy with one of the top insurance providers, esure. I think that’s the one with the annoying adverts with Michael Winner but I don’t really care about that because we saved over £180. Both my wife and I drive the same car, well same 4×4, and didn’t want to change it to a cheaper car so we were really pleased with that.
The comparison engine we used returned numerous results, some of which were a little cheaper than the one we chose but they didn’t offer the same value. Some had courtesy car cover as an extra, which is essential as we only have one car, and others just were not as comprehensive in general.
