Accidental Damage

For an additional premium, accidental damage cover can be very useful. Usually this works on a "new for old" basis

Away from home cover

Many items in your home may need coverage away from your home too. Things like watches, cameras and laptops can be covered.

Expensive items

If you have expensive jewellery, watches or digital SLR camera equipment worth over £1000 per item, make sure you have these items individually covered on your policy. It will cost extra, but is well worth covering the risk of loss, damage and theft.

Be sure to keep all receipts for your expensive items or some sort of proof you actually owned them should they be lost, stolen or damaged.

Usually, individual items up to the value of around a maximum of £500 are covered without the need for stating them as an expensive individual item.
