Child life insurance is a product that few providers actually offer. This is a result of the lack of demand more than anything else. Very few parents look to take out a life insurance policy on their children but it could come in useful. Similarly, if there is critical illness insurance added on top then it could actually fund a parent staying off work to look after a sick child should the worst happen.
Although child life insurance is viewed as a macabre and morbid form of insurance to take out, it is well worth considering if only for the fact that it will give you peace of mind. These days, nobody is infallible so looking to protect your children in all ways possible can only be a good thing.
